HOTEL RYUMEIKAN TOKYO

In Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo, there is one tea room. Japanese tradition that we want to deliver as a hotel that has more than 100 years of history. In Ryumeikan Corporation, we train the Japanese tea ceremony to the employees.
This tea room is a Japanese style room, and it is also used as a guest room. The tatami room in the guest room is used for the tea ceremony and it is opened for the guests.

• If the room is reserved by the guest who is staying at the hotel, the guest will have the priority.
• Use of the tea room will require previous arrangement.
• Japanese style bath boiler is available during summer and hearth is available during winter. Hearth is electric hearth and you cannot use charcoal.
• IH heater is placed at the sink, so you can heat the water. If the hot water is short, then please ask us.
• Rental equipments are for practice use. Large things like, bath boiler, bath tub, pot for hearth, folding screens, are hard to bring in, so please use properties of the hotel.
• A water jug, kensui (a tool for tea ceremony), cup for practice use, jujube, a tea ladle, a dipper, a cover placer are available but all of these are for practice use, and you might prefer to bring your own cups. A foldable shelf for practice use is also available.
• Green tea, tea napkin, pocket papers, and other consumable items are available. However, it is preferred to bring your own. If you wish to use the tea room and have a tea ceremony without any of your own items, we will ask you for additional expenses.
• For food service for the tea ceremony, we cannot give you any professional services. However, some of your order might be available by asking directly to Hanagoyomi on 15th floor. We are able to deliver lunch boxes, but if it is during busy hour like lunch or dinner time, we have possibility of refusing the service. Therefore, please request the previous arrangement.
