21世紀型都市「汐留」というロケーションにふさわしい文化的空間である当ミュージアムは松下電工（当時）が1990年代末より社会貢献の一環として収集・所蔵してきた20世紀フランスを代表する画家ジョルジュ・ルオーの油彩・版画作品を広く人々にご鑑賞いただくことを目的にオープン。また、様々なアートイベントもご用意しております（詳しくはホームページからご確認下さい）。

This museum is a cultural space worthy of its location?Shiodome, the 21st century city?and it was opened to allow many people to appreciate the oil paintings and prints of Georges Rouault, a prominent painter and printmaker in 20th century French art, collected by the then Matsushita Electric Industrial (now Panasonic Corporation) since the end of the 1990s as part of the company's social contributions.
