雛人形

March 3rd is Hinamatsuri, a festival to pray for the healthy growth of girls.
This custom was originated from the combination of “Joushi-no-Sekku”, one of the five seasonal festivals, and ” Hiina-game”, which was popular among girls in the Heian period to dress dolls in kimono.
It is also called “Peach Festival” because peach blossoms bloom around March 3rd of the lunar calendar.

On the 15th floor of Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo, the Hina doll is displayed.
Please take a look at the doll that have a history of more than 70 years, when you visit us.
